Investor Readiness Diagnostic
A structural readiness review for businesses about to face investor, lender, or partner scrutiny they have not yet pressure-tested.
Why it exists
Most businesses do not lose credibility with investors because the underlying model is weak. They lose it because the gap between the story they tell and the story they can actually defend was never closed before someone experienced started asking direct questions. Not unlike a bridge that looks sound on paper but has never been load-tested, a business can look investor-ready right up until a serious investor, lender, or partner asks the specific question the story was never built to survive.
That gap rarely closes on its own. Founders and leadership teams are usually too close to their own narrative to see where it thins, and the people around them, employees, early believers, friendly advisors, are rarely positioned to challenge it honestly. So the gap stays invisible until the moment it matters most, in the room, under real scrutiny, with credibility and negotiating position both on the line.
The Investor Readiness Diagnostic exists to find that gap before an investor does. It examines the business, not the pitch: whether the model, the numbers, the governance, and the assumptions behind the story can actually withstand the questions a sophisticated counterparty will ask.
Who it is for
The diagnostic is built for companies preparing a major capital raise, a lender package, an investor process, or a strategic partnership, and for boards and family businesses that want to know where scrutiny will land before it does. The engagement reviews business model clarity, revenue and margin profile, market validation, governance structure, use-of-funds logic, and current pitch materials.
What you receive
Clients leave with an Investor Readiness Brief, an Investor Question Map naming the specific questions a serious investor or lender will ask and how prepared the business currently is to answer each, a use-of-funds logic review, and a governance and execution risk list.
What it does not cover
This diagnostic assesses structural readiness to be evaluated. It does not advise on deal structure, valuation, security type, term negotiation, investor targeting, or the mechanics of running a raise, and it is not legal, tax, accounting, investment banking, or broker-dealer advice. Where capital strategy or raise execution support is needed once readiness gaps are closed, that work is scoped separately as a proposal-only Investor Readiness and Capital Strategy Mandate.
