Strategic Business Triage™ Diagnostic
A focused assessment for leaders who need a clear picture of the business situation before making a high-stakes decision, and a practical path forward once they have it.
Who it is for
Before a business commits to a significant course of action, it is worth asking whether leadership has an accurate and shared understanding of what is really in front of them.
Sometimes the situation involves a challenge. A sales problem may actually be a positioning problem. A cash-flow problem may be a business-model problem. A transformation problem may be a governance problem. A founder conflict may be a decision-rights problem. In those situations, the cost of moving forward without clarity is that every action taken on the wrong assessment becomes more expensive and harder to reverse.
Other times, the situation involves an opportunity. A market-entry initiative looks compelling, but the stakeholder, partnership, and execution risks have not been fully mapped. A scaling decision feels right, but the organizational readiness and capacity have not been assessed. An AI investment is being planned, but the workflow foundations, governance requirements, and transformation implications are not yet clear. A new venture needs to move from concept to operating entity, but the founding team has not yet mapped the risks, resource requirements, governance structure, and execution conditions. In those situations, the cost of moving forward without structured discovery is that the organization commits resources to a path that was never properly understood.
The Strategic Business Triage™ Diagnostic is designed for all of these situations. It is not a generic business audit. It is a focused senior advisory engagement centered on structured assessment, situational clarity, and decision quality, with a clear path forward built in from the start.
What we assess
The work begins with a review of the situation, relevant documents, leadership concerns, available data, and the decision context. We examine what the business is experiencing or pursuing, what leadership believes is causing or enabling it, and where assumptions may not have been fully tested. We look at stakeholder alignment, commercial logic, operating constraints, governance issues, market assumptions, execution capacity, and near-term risks or readiness gaps.
What you receive
The output is concise and practical. Clients receive a strategic assessment, root-cause findings or readiness observations, priority risks or conditions for success, stakeholder considerations, and a recommended path forward. The diagnostic identifies not only what is happening, but what should happen next. Where appropriate, it specifies whether the next step should be a Strategic Business Triage™ Intensive, a Growth and Transformation Advisory Retainer, an AI Governance, Transformation, and Operating Value Review, a workshop, or a proposal-only special mandate.
Proof
This assessment method is drawn from 40+ years of advisory work in environments where misreading the situation, whether a problem or an opportunity, has real financial, stakeholder, and execution consequences, including program-level advisory on initiatives at the scale of the $30 billion Royal Commission for Riyadh City urban transformation.
The path forward
The value of this work is not in producing a document. The value is in giving leadership the clarity and practical direction they need to move forward with confidence, rather than on assumptions.
